MARKING SCRIPTS AMID THE DIN IS IRRESPONSIBLE

Ministry of Education (MOE) would like to refer to an article by Mike, Klang, published in THE STAR dated 1 Disember 2010 on the issue of – Marking scripts amid the din is irresponsible. The ministry agrees with the writer that it is a gross misconduct on the part of the examiner to mark examination scripts in a public place. All teachers appointed to mark scripts by the Examinations Syndicate have been advised to safe guard the confidentiality and ensure the safety of all scripts entrusted to them. The Examinations Syndicate will not hesitate to terminate the appointment of those who breach the terms and conditions of their appointment.    The ministry welcomes further details from Mike to identify the teacher concerned so that immediate action can be taken.   CORPORATE COMMUNICATION UNIT MINISTRY OF EDUCATION MALAYSIA
